A Prayer

There are decisions that must be made today and obligations that must be fulfilled.

There are deadlines to be met and duties to be performed.

But we know God, that You will lead us to the right path.

We do have bad days and we make stupid mistakes.

We know we sometimes fail to live up to other's expectations.

But Lord, despite our shortcomings, you have not given up on us.

We are not as beautiful as we want to be.

We are not as young as we used to be.

We are not as talented as we wish to be.

We may not even have the time that we need to be.

But Lord, You make us feel great and enlightened because You have chosen us to be your instruments.

May we all have the courage and strength to face the challenges that will confront us today.

Give us the full awareness of others and always be at service to them.

Amen.
